The Madeira Island was formed by volcanic
movement on top of the enormous shelter volcano that rises about 6 km from the
Atlantic Ocean flooring. It is located in the Atlantic Ocean, approximately 900
kilometers south west of Lisbon and 600
kilometers north of the shoreline of Morocco in Africa. The blue Atlantic is so
bottomless that whales occasionally appear near the island.

between 16 and 23 C. As the island is situated in the Gulf Stream the sea warmth
remains more or less the same as the atmosphere temperature.
